Here is a preview of our Project this week for our subscribers.

We will also have some kits of this project available in our Kit Shop in a few days.

It is a paper bag book. I used red paper bags (from Target)- aren't they cool?

Such a slacker in the Blogisphere- Lots of great things coming up to share

Okay

I am a total slacker in the Blogisphere. I haven't posted anything new for a few weeks, but I promise to get back on track this week. On the plus side I did furminate my dogs last week-that furminator brush is AWESOME. - wait is that in the realm of TMI (too much information?)

So back to Chick business, we are in the process up updating our online kits with LOTS of new stuff. We have a few kits left from our Spring Workshop Weekend, some new 2 page kits, and a few other goodies.

Other items we are working on:

-We have finalized our upcoming all inclusive retreats- July 8-11, Sept 16-18, Nov 4-6th. So far we opened our July and September registration to only our customers who have attended one of our events or retreats before first. On Wednesday May 25th we will open up the remaining available spots for July and September for general registration.

-We have finalized our date for our Fall Workshop Weekend- October 22nd and 23rd at The Holiday Inn in Issaquah. Registration for that event will begin on June 1st. We will be offering a 4 payment plan for that event.

-We are planning a Birthday Party for Scrap Yard Chicks for June 25th! Yippee. We'll keep you posted on the fun details.

-We are working on another date for a Free Community Crop in Issaquah in July. We'll let you know if we get approved for that.

So here is a fun All American Home Banner project that we did during our Spring Workshop Weekend. This is the a new paper line by My Minds Eye, the chipboard banners are by Paper Accents.

An Invitation to Shop during our Creativity in Bloom Spring Workshop, Sunday May 15th 3-6 pm

Can't come to our Spring Workshop Weekend but want to purchase some of the kits? We are opening up our event to the public for shopping on Sunday afternoon - May 15th 3-6 pm.

Everything we have left from our weekend will be available to purchase on a first come first served basis. Plus we will have lots of our other great project and page kits for sale too.

Sneak Peek for Spring Creativity in Bloom Workshop Weekend

Here is another sneak preview of one of our projects for our upcoming workshop weekend.

It is a series of stacked canvas pieces. They are covered with canvas and burlap.

We are going to use some inking techniques with the new Tim Holtz Distress Stains, an iron on photo transfer, some metal, staining our own accessories for the project and so much more.

This is a really beautiful and textural project- it will look great on your wall at home. I actually added a few things to this after we snapped the photos- we will also be working with some Chalk Stock chalkboard cardstock tags. Very cool.

Here is another sneak peek of a project for our Creativity in Bloom Spring Workshop Weekend May 14th and 15th.

This is a mini book project by Kerry using a Maya Road chipboard book and Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup paper collection.

It is full of bright spring and summer colors, lots of insert pieces- pockets, tags, fold outs, lots of ribbon and lots of fun!

Sorry for the long delay in blogging. Too much real life getting in the way. We have some project sneak peeks to show you for our Creativity in Bloom Spring Workshop Weekend coming up on May 14th and 15th. You can still register for the workshop, or to purchase the "Chicks To Go" package.

This project is by our talented guest teacher Adrienne Guitron. It is a fantastic not so mini- mini book. The book is actually 12 x 12 with gatefold pages inside. It is a Year In Review style book titled "We Remember Moments".

We just love how this project turned out. Plus- what great photos. Thanks Adrienne!
