This is a preview of our Project of the Week for our subscribers. This week we are doing a cute 4x4 Spring Accordion Mini book with some fun paper by Echo Park Paper Company.
The book folds up and then wraps around to create a cover. If you want to subscribe to our weekly projects visit our Subscription Page on our website. The video below shows more views of this cute project.

We are really LOVING this project from our guest instructor Adrienne Guitron for our Wild About Creating Winter Workshop Weekend.
The book is an 8x8 chipboard binder and pages from Maya Road with Pink Paislee Old School paper and stickers, Basic Grey letters, LOTS of great Tim Holtz embellishments, tags, paint, ink etc. all put together in this inspirational and unique book to document what "He Is" in your life.

The top and bottom panels are mini clipboards and the middle panel is a chipboard piece with a ribbon treatment to keep your photos secure.
The idea for this display is to be able to easily change the photos you have on display.
We also included a tutorial to create the dimensional rose that is on the clip portion of the clipboard.
To get a project like this every Wednesday, become a Scrap Yard Chicks Subscriber. The cost is $12.99 a month. Visit our Subscribers Page for more details.

Scrap Yard Chicks wanted to bring you a couple of cute, quick and easy Valentine projects this week.
This Folded Paper Heart Garland, is a great project, and it is fun, inexpensive and easy.
You need a 4x12 piece of double sided cardstock weight paper. Cut it into 1x12 strips.
Cut two strips into 6" lengths.
Arrange strips, lining them up along the bottoms and all the pattern facing the same way

These Free Crops are open to everyone– so invite your friends, bring your neighbors and come get to know other scrapbookers in your community. We have access to a wonderful facility- the King County Library Service Center, that has a BIG room, lots of tables (everyone gets their own), a kitchen with a fridge, good lighting and a great opportunity to connect with other scrapbookers and crafters.

Sunday February 6th 9 am-10 pm
Yes we have the WHOLE weekend. You can leave your stuff, go home, sleep, feed the cat/dog, and then come back and scrapbook some more. We teamed up (get the Super Bowl tie in) with our friends from South King County Scrapbook Meetup Group– Scrap Yard Chicks is hosting on Saturday and they are hosting on Sunday.
How do I sign Up? You don't need to sign up. Our Free Crop Weekends are open to everyone. Drop in anytime during the crop and stay as long as you like!
We won't be having any classes at these crops- they are strictly time for you to bring your projects and scrapbook pages to work on and to meet other scrapbooking and crafting friends in our community. We will have our favorite tools, a Cricut Expression and a Slice, plus have some projects on display if you need a little inspiration.
What is the CHA Party? At 7 pm on Saturday Feb 6th
We will have some snacks, drinks and a slide show/videos/prize give aways and samples of the cool stuff that we see at CHA. Darcie and Kerry will just be back from CHA Los Angeles-the winter trade show for the Craft and Hobby Association where all of the scrapbook and craft manufacturers roll out their brand new product lines for the year and they will have samples, sneak previews and tons of new ideas to share with you.
Did we Mention BIG PRIZES? We have a couple of really great prizes (may involve a free Workshop Weekend and some free subscriptions!) to give away at our CHA party. mmmm. Stay tuned!

We made some lollipop flowers and box top flowers in the corner of the layout, they add such a beautiful texture and really finish off the pages. There is a technique video for our subscribers on their members only blog.
Our project is a book of library pockets with "Love Coupons" tucked into each pocket. The book is embellished with printable mini bingo cards and tickets.
