A Few of My Favorite Things Sneak Preview

We wanted to show you a few more views of this clever and cool project.

The basis for each page is an envelope or a pocket. Some are hand folded, some a re-purposed envelopes. So many great ideas to use in other mini books and layouts.

Darcie used the cool My Minds Eye Lost & Found collection, Paper Accents kraft envelopes, canvas, chipboard, Cosmo Cricket letters and then added many more of her fantastic touches for a truly unique mini book.

Family Moments Library Tray Sneak Previews

Here are a few more views of this wonderful project.

In addition to this clever brand new Library Tray we are using the 7 Gypsies Avignon Paper and Tags, Gypsy Ephemera, 7 Gypsies Family Stickers, 7 Gypsies Market Labels, 7 Gypsies Journal Pages, Tim Holtz texture plates, hand dyed seam binding, and lots of other fun goodies.

This is a big tray- 11" deep- so you have lots of room to display your photos. I plan to put a copy of all of my photos for the year in my tray rather than have them tucked away in a photo album. But, if you don't want to use that many photos we also devised a way to use part of the tray and still keep all of the dividers and photos from falling over. Ahh, such clever chicks!
Enjoy!

And then there were two. . .

Ooh that sounds very ominous doesn't it? Maybe because I have been looking at too much cool Halloween paper lately.

Well, as we all know our world is always a changing, and we have a change here at Scrap Yard Chicks too. Some of you might already know, but our good friend and fellow Chick Kathy is no longer working with us. We wish her well with her future endeavors and will miss her fun personality at our events.

So that just leaves two original Chicks left, Darcie and Kerry. It is funny since we have known each other the longest, we figure we have been scrapbooking together for 10+ years. We met scrapbooking at our friend Serena's library crop in Issaquah. Wow, there has certainly been lots of scrapbooking and photographs along the way.

What does this change mean for our upcoming events and classes? Its all good for our customers. We will be bringing in some outside teachers to develop projects and teach classes at our upcoming events- be on the look out for the samples for our Fall Workshop Weekend very soon. Darcie and I have been talking to a few different ladies- we are lucky to have so many talented paper crafters in our area. It is really inspiring to see some of the amazing work that people have put together. So our customers get a wider range of project styles, but with the same Scrap Yard Chicks attention to every detail, TONS of new products, and all of the extra touches that set us apart.

If you have any questions about the changes at Scrap Yard Chicks, or have an amazing paper crafter that you would like to introduce us to- please send us an email at mailto:scrapyardchicks@hotmail.com.

Thanks Chicks!
