Christmas In August 17t & 18th- Third Sneak Preview

Oh Snap! Year in Review Mini Album (or Year in Advance)-
Sunday August 18th 1- 4pm.

This is such a great and colorful album, it will be all ready for you to add your photos for a fantastic gift- or to keep it for yourself. This colorful product is all by Simple Stories. The project is divided by months with lots of embellishments to customize your project. I used the Snap! 6x8 Binder Album, the Snap Life Collection, Divided 6x8 Page Protectors, Kraft Chipboard Album Dividers and LOTS of fun details.

An entire Snap Life Paper Collection is included with this class (12"x 12" Snap Life- 6 sheets of double sided paper, fundamental and calendar stickers, six 4"x 6" transparency photo overlays, and 6 sheets of double sided, cut apart elements) plus the Teal 6x8 chipboard binder set and many more unique Scrap Yard Chicks details.

You could also create this mini album as a Year in Advance project for 2014- if you aren't quite up to doing an entire Project Life album. So many possibilities!

Christmas in August 17th and 18th- Second sneak preview

This fantastic project is half mini book and half display piece. I used the beautiful Basic Grey Nordic Holiday collection as the perfect backdrop for Santa or Christmas Card photos.

I added lots of beautiful embellishments, ribbon, brads, stickers and other special goodies.

The stunning project is one that gets lots of oooohs and ahhhhs and "how did you do that?" comments.
This class is part of our Christmas in August event, August 17th and 18th, you can register for the entire weekend, one day only or individual classes.
To register and for more information visit our Christmas in August Event Page.

Long Time no Blogging

Hi Chicks
It has been a while since I have updated anything here, I have so many new things brewing that I am trying to work out that I haven't taken the time to post here. Here are a few events I have coming up:

Christmas in August Workshop- August 17th & 18th- This is going to be at my house in Sammamish, Washington. It is 2 days of Christmas and Gift classes with some other fun stuff mixed in. More details are coming.

Fall Workshop Weekend- October 19th & 20th- Baymont Inn and Suites, Kirkland Washington. This is 2 days of fun classes with 2 guest instructors. The Baymont has given us a fantastic rate for guest rooms if you want to stay over. More details are coming.

Fall Retreats-We are heading back to the mountains in Ronald, Washington for some fun retreat weekends.
September 27th-29th
November 1-3rd

The reason that I don't have pricing, details, etc for any of these events is that I am working feverishly on a new website that will have all of the registration information available.

So mark your calendars and I am hoping to have everything up and running (fingers crossed) this week.

More Favorites from Winter CHA Show 2013

I wanted to share a few more of my favorite picks from the Winter CHA Show in Anaheim. One of my favorite booths is Simple Stories. Their colors are clean and bright and I just love all of their sales staff and their product.
This new line is a travel line that is just so super cute.

Another item on my "list" this year was an outdoor collection- camping/boating/ etc. I found this really nice one by Fancy Pants. It is definitely more ocean/boating related with anchors, etc.

Imaginise also had a cute outdoor line

and one of the only pet collections that I saw

Little Yellow Bicycle had an interesting Naturals line with burlap, cork, wood, canvas and other natural looking elements. I really like this collection

Favorites from CHA Winter 2013

Hi Chicks
Before I arrived at the show I made a list of what I was "sort of" looking for. Some I found, some I didn't. I was surprised that there really wasn't anything super exciting and new at this show. Everyone seems to be jumping onto the Project Life bandwagon and has similar type smaller elements with divided page protectors in their collection. I am still on the fence about this trend, I don't know if it would really work for me personally but, and it is a big but, I haven't tried it yet so maybe it will be like inking and I will love it once I get started.

Here are a few of my favorites from CHA 2013.

Baby Collections- Echo Park has a girl and boy baby line that I really liked.

Cool new tool from We R Memory Keepers to make envelopes. It has a the scoring tablet plus punches to do the corners. Very neat idea.

Plus they have this AWESOME holder for Washi tape- this I am definitely ordering. They also have really great washi tape collections in different widths plus full 12 x 12 sheet.

New Vintage Birthday Line by Crate Paper-LOVE THIS!

New Bella Boulevard Wedding and Engagement Collections

Really cute collection by Lily Bee Designs, cherries, banners, and other fun summery stuff

7 Gypsies vintage travel stuff, with a Paris theme. It has great map papers, these fantastic charms and other goodies. They get a fail from me though- no catalog or even a price list for the new merchandise. :(

New from Jillibean Soup- this line is so cute full of seed packet images and other vintage looks without an old feeling. They also have these great polaroid style die frame papers that you can cut apart.

I have more to share- check back tomorrow for the rest of my favorites!
Happy Scrapppin! -Kerry
